WalletConnect

Wallet Connect is an open protocol to communicate securely between Wallets and Dapps (Web3 Apps) using a Bridge server. Learn how Wallet Connect works, its features

Getting Started with WalletConnect:

  1. Visit the Official Website: To begin, visit the official WalletConnect website to learn more about the protocol and its features.

  2. Download a Supported Wallet: WalletConnect is supported by a variety of mobile wallets. Choose a wallet that supports WalletConnect from the list provided on the website.

  3. Set Up Your Wallet: Once you've downloaded a supported wallet, follow the instructions to set up your wallet and secure it with a strong password or PIN code.

  4. Enable WalletConnect: In your wallet settings, enable WalletConnect functionality. This will allow your wallet to scan QR codes and connect to DApps using WalletConnect.

  5. Connect to DApps: Now that your wallet is set up and WalletConnect is enabled, you can start connecting to DApps. When using a DApp that supports WalletConnect, look for the WalletConnect option and select it.

  6. Scan the QR Code: The DApp will generate a QR code for you to scan with your wallet. Use your wallet's QR code scanner to scan the code and establish a connection between your wallet and the DApp.

  7. Authorize Transactions: Once connected, you can authorize transactions and interact with the DApp directly from your mobile wallet. Confirm any transactions prompted by the DApp using your wallet's interface.

Security Measures:

  • WalletConnect prioritizes security and privacy, ensuring that your private keys never leave your device.

  • Transactions are securely signed within your wallet, providing an extra layer of security.

  • Always verify the authenticity of DApps before connecting your wallet and authorizing transactions.
